2024 Chaska Youth Softball Association News

Important: Fall Evaluations Announcement for the Upcoming Season

As we look ahead to the upcoming 2025 season, we’re excited to announce a change in our evaluation schedule. This year, we are transitioning to holding evaluations in the fall rather than in late winter/early spring.

Tryout Dates and Location:

  • Dates: October 26th (October 27th is reserved in case of inclement weather)

  • Location: Chaska Community Park Fields

  • Who: ALL 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U players

  • Time: Schedule will be released shortly!

  • Cost: $50.00

Please note that there will be a non-refundable evaluation fee of $50.00. This fee helps us cover the costs associated with organizing the tryouts and preparing for the season.

Registration will open on Friday, September 20th!

Winter Training Information Coming Soon!

We are excited to announce we will be offering winter training sessions starting in November!

Hitting and Fielding Clinics
Coach Justin Newman from the Chaska High School Softball program, along with players from the high school team, will lead our hitting and fielding clinics. These sessions will focus on proper hitting, throwing, and fielding mechanics, helping players develop a strong foundation for success.
Location: Chaska High School – Back Gym & Multi-Purpose Room
When: Sunday evenings, 1 hour sessions

Pitching Clinics
For those focusing on pitching, Coach Cass from PowerHouse Mechanics will be running specialized pitching clinics. These sessions will also take place on Sunday evenings, offering pitchers a chance to enhance their technique.
Location: Chaska High School When: Sunday evenings: November 10th, November 24th, December 8th, December 15th and December 22nd,

Times: 1 hour sessions: 5:00pm - 6:00pm, 6:00pm - 7:00pm and 7:00pm - 8:00pm. 

Sessions in January and February will be 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

  • Week 1: August 24th and 25th
  • LABOR DAY WEEKEND - NO GAMES!
  • Week 2: September 7th and 8th
  • Week 3: September 14th and 15th
  • Week 4: September 21st and 22nd
  • State Tournament: September 28th and 29th

FALL EVALUATIONS:

  • Saturday October 26th.
