2020 K/1/2 Softball Season is Cancelled

Hello K/1/2 softball families!

Thank you for your patience as we continue to be responsive to the ever-changing situation surrounding returning to softball.

At this time, we feel that it is not possible to adequately satisfy recommended guidelines for safety on/near the field for this younger age group. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the K/1/2 Softball season.

As an organization, we have spent many weeks deliberating on this, keeping up with communications from MN Softball and the governor’s office regarding safe play, working with the city of Chaska, communicating with our friends in Chanhassen and Carver, and listening to feedback from our families. Both Carver and Chanhassen have also made the difficult decision to cancel K/1/2 Softball for this summer.

We recognize this decision will impact you and your families differently. We want nothing more than for the girls to be out on the field enjoying the amazing game of softball with their friends and teammates. However, the safety of everyone is our utmost priority at this time.

As the summer progresses, we will look into the possibility of offering some skills clinics for this age group, if the situation allows. Please watch for further communication.

We want to thank you all for being a part of our CYSA family and thank you for your continued patience throughout these last few months. We will begin to work through the process of fully refunding you.
