Practices are typically held at the Chaska High School Varsity and JV fields.

Team typically meet two nights per week for practices.

West Metro Thunder is a club-style option for girls from Chaska, Chanhassen, and surrounding areas to gain a competitive, developmental experience playing in our community with friends and H.S. teammates. It's designed to be as competitive as club options at better value with more flexibility for the multi-sport/activity athlete.
Tournaments
Program Includes:
- Fall/Winter: 2-3 Tournaments + off-season clinics and domeball opportunities
- Summer: Big West League Play, 4-5 tournaments, Parent and Paid (Non-Parent) Coaches
Uniforms and Equipment
Uniforms: 3 Jerseys, Helmet, socks & Belt.(Additional $200 uniform fee for new players)
Pants are expected to be purchased on own. (1 Pair of white & 1 pair of Charcoal)
*Steel cleats are acceptable for 14+ players.

CAA and the Chaska Youth Softball Association are excited to bring back the West Metro Thunder 14U-16U program and New this year the 12U winter developmental program!

Program Includes:
Fall/Winter 2026: (Aug - Oct) 2-3 Practices Per week & 2-3 Tournaments + off-season clinics, Team skill development, Individual skill development (Pitching, Catching, Hitting), Strenght Training, & Dome Ball competition.
Summer 2027: (May - July) Big West League Play, 4-5 tournaments, Paid (Non-Parent) Coaches
Uniforms: Additional $200 uniform fee includes: 3 Jerseys, Helmet, socks & Belt.(For New Players)
Pants are expected to be purchased on own. (1 Pair of white & 1 pair of Charcoal)
Program Cost:
$1,625 per player total
$525 due @ registration
$500 Roster Deposit (refundable pending acceptance)
$25 Try out fee (non-refundable)
$1000 (remainder) payable in up to four additional monthly installments.
