This is a coach pitch division with the emphasis on teaching basic skills, general rules of the game and equal playing time/positions (at coach's discretion due to missed practices, sickness or absence)

This program is designed for girls currently in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
When
The season runs from May - end of June.
Where
Practices are held at Chaska Community Park, Chaska Middle School East, Pioneer Middle School, Carver Lions Park and Chaska High School fields.
Practices
Games/practices will be scheduled on Monday and Wednesdays, but may change due to field availability or inclement weather.

Teams are formed with the emphasis on balancing experience and socialization. "Friend Requests" are available on the registration.
While efforts will be made to accommodate a "Friend Request", no guarantees can be made. To be considered, if player "A" requests to be on the same team as player "B", player "B" must also request to be on player "A's team.
Only one friend request per player is permitted and the two friends must request each other as indicated in the example.
Any other special request must be made in advance via email stating the circumstances. Emails can be sent to k12@cysafastpitch.com

- Glove
- Batting helmet (preferably with the safety face mask and chin strap)
- Fielding Mask
- Optional:

K12 In-House League
This program is designed for girls currently in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. This league will play against teams from Chanhassen, Carver, and Eden Prairie. Teams meet two nights per week. Teams will also participate in an end of the season tournament at the end of June. The season runs from May - end of June.
The league plays by ASA rules with some modifications.

Season Calendar
Registration: Registration is completed online and is typically open in January - March.
Season Begins: Early-May (weather dependent)
First 2 weeks there will be practices only. Then the league moves to practices on Mondays evenings and games on Wednesday evenings.

Teams will be formed by the K/1/2 coordinator with approval of the CYSA board.
Parent Volunteer Expectations:
CYSA runs entirely from parent volunteers. A successful season and experience for the girls depends on our parents. Each player will be assessed a $150 volunteer fee/$300 for families with 2 or more players . Upon fulfilling a 6 hour volunteer commitment (or 9 hours for families with 2 or more players), your volunteer requirement will be considered complete. Fees:
The 2026 registration fees are as follows:
K/1st/2nd Grade TBD + $150 volunteer fee (see above)
**This fee includes a uniform consisting of a team t-shirt, shorts, and socks.

** Head Coaches automatically fulfill their volunteer obligations (6 hours or 9 hours if multiple players)
** Assistant Coaches automatically fulfill their volunteer obligations (6 hours or 9 hours if multiple players)
Registration fees cover the following expenses:
* Administration costs (storage rental, PO box, website, copying/postage, insurance etc.)
* Uniforms
* Equipment (bags, balls, bats, helmets, first aid kits, scorebooks etc.)
Year-End Tournament: The last Friday (in the evening) of June

Coach Meeting: TBD
Practices Begin: Early May (weather permitting)
First two weeks: 2 practices/week
Weeks 3+: 1 practice + 1 games a week
Season end Jamboree: End of June
